| Objective: To sell the Hoover SteamVac via DRTV as well as to build store traffic and educate consumers
about the product. The Hoover brand name needed to play a dominant role and product demonstrations formed the heart
of the two-minute spot. |

| Production Challenge: To create in two minutes the feel and look of a 30-minute infomercial. We used a live
audience to generate spontaneity and to attest to how well the product worked. A host and hostess demonstrated
how to use the SteamVac and interacted with the audience. A bank of telephone operators stood ready to take orders. |
