Onyx Productions Rescues Chuck Norris Infomercial!

January 2001 - Onyx Productions, Inc., an Infomercial Production Company and DRTV Specialist

Los Angeles, CA based Onyx Productions, whose clients have included Ronco, Symantec Norton Anti-Virus, Hoover, Q-Direct, Nordic Track, and Thighmaster among others, was chosen by Video 54 Distribution to revise and re-edit an infomercial for "Chuck Norris Private Lesson". This infomercial put the spotlight on a videotape set starring karate expert Chuck Norris teaching self-defense techniques and incorporating them into an exercise program. Another company had attempted this endeavor, but the original infomercial did not do well. Video 54 heard about the reputation Onyx Productions has for completing successful infomercials, both from the ground up, and revising and re-editing existing infomercials and spots. With very little strong footage to work with from the existing infomercial, Onyx Productions' president Joan Renfrow stated, "After viewing the existing footage, I see this as an exciting challenge for us, but I am confident we will produce an infomercial that the client will be happy with. One that will motivate the viewer to purchase the product." Working hand in hand with the client, and drawing from years of experience, Onyx Productions saw where it would be best to salvage footage and where it was crucial to shoot new. Incorporating new music with the existing background, and using testimonials from real people helped to congeal this infomercial and turn it into one that the client was excited about. Due to the successful outcome of this infomercial, Onyx Productions has since taken on another project with the same client.
